Remote Meetings

Prior to the Covid-19 virus affecting the ability of business people to meet in person, there already was a trend for these parties to hold meetings “remotely” through services such as “Zoom” and “GoToMeeting.”   Many mediation and arbitration providers have realized that, based on the needs of parties in dispute, remote ADR services are in demand.  South Bay ADR provides remote mediation and arbitration services at no additional charge.  These services are more difficult to manage in document intensive cases but they still can be provided if the parties properly “Bates Stamp” their documents in the lower right hand corner and the documents are otherwise easily viewable on a computer screen.

South Bay ADR relies on an expert in remote servicing technology and the system should work properly in all circumstances.  Safeguards are taken to ensure that no third parties can “hack” into mediation, arbitration or related meetings.   An initial meeting will be held prior to the mediation or arbitration to be sure all parties have an awareness of how to utilize the remote service and to otherwise make appropriate introductions and discuss the case prior to the mediation or arbitration occurring.
